Fitness Goal Achieved:
I had great success losing 27 pounds in 9 weeks.
Turning Point That Launched Fitness Goal:
I knew what I wanted but I had no idea how to get there. I weighed in over 200 pounds and often struggled with depression. I have a wonderful family and amazing friends, but still something was missing.
Exercise or Workout Routine:
Kickboxing, strength classes, cross training
Key Supporters and Motivation:
Fortunately, I am blessed with a very supportive husband who encouraged me to continue to set time aside for myself even with three kids under four to care for.
It took me some time to really embrace this as a lifestyle but now I can't imagine life any other way.
Now, a year after my last challenge ended, I have not only maintained my weight but lost a little more for a total of 60 pounds and 14% body comp. I am stronger physically, mentally and emotionally now than I ever remember being in my life. In return, my efforts have truly made me a better mother and wife.
Advice or Inspiration For Others:
I stay engaged with the constantly challenging workouts, by seeking out recipes and sharing them, reading articles that motivate me, and by celebrating the big and little successes with friends.
